The 16th edition of the gala took place in the fantastic Tivoli Theater on monday night. Sixteen years of dedicated work by the organizer Carlos Castro.

A little more than two dozen artists animated the nearly three-hour show, this year without intermission, with lots of singing, lip-synch and dance.

The Career Award was assigned to one of the best known voices to portuguese persons, Artur Agostinho. And the Ruth Briden Award was delivered to Fanny Star, by Simone de Oliveira, with whom the winner had the pleasure to have worked in theater.

On of the high moments of the night was the Amy Winehouse performance by Lord Talent. The tears that were seen in the audience were of joy and pleasure.

At the end, the result was a cheerful night at a theater, where artists come together to remember that even today people die from HIV/AIDS in Portugal and we must be more solidary with those who provide support to those who suffer.

The Gala of Travesti is held since its start in favor of the Association Abraço.
