Happy Hookers explora o secreto mundo dos trabalhadores masculinos do sexo em Bombaim, na Índia. Enquanto conceito, este fenómeno é quase desconhecido, embora a sua realidade bastante difundida, particularmente nas áreas metropolitanas. Uma estatística do Humsafar Trust (um instituto dedicado à sexualidade masculina) revela-nos que cerca de 20% dos homens que têm relações com outros homens, já tiveram experiência de alguma forma com a prostituição. Por si só, isto é um forte indicativo de que a prostituição masculina na Índia está disseminada por todos os níveis económico-sociais do país. As implicações sociais e sanitárias deste fenómeno são preocupantes. A falta de informação leva a crescentes índices de infecções pelo VIH e, numa outra vertente, a uma crescente intolerância face à homossexualidade e à prostituição. Este documentário acompanha o dia-a-dia de 3 jovens de Bombaim que trabalham como prostitutos, revelando-nos diferentes aspectos das suas sexualidades e o que significa ter esta profissão num país que criminaliza a homossexualidade através do artigo 377. Aliás, que criminaliza qualquer acto sexual que não tenha por objectivo a procriação. O como e onde angariam clientes e quem são estes clientes, são também aqui explorados, bem como os conflitos que assombram este 3 jovens - em relação à sociedade, à família, à lei. Como tal, Happy Hookers é um dos primeiros filmes de produção indiana a abordar estas controversas temáticas.

Happy Hookers explores the secret world of male sex workers in Bombay, India. As a concept, the phenomenon is virtually unchartered, though its reality is widespread, especially in the metro cities. Statistics from the Humsafar Trust (a male sexual health agency) prove that approximately 20% of men who admit to having sex with other men have engaged in commercial sex of some form. This in itself is indicative of the fact that male prostitution has infiltrated Indian society across many levels and economic strata's. The sociological and health implications are worrying, on a larger scale. Lack of education and information leads to higher figures for HIV as well as for larger social taboo's regarding homosexuality and the commodification of sex. The film enters the lives of 3 young men who live and ply themselves as sex workers in Bombay, following them from their homes through their daily activities, revealing different aspects of sexuality and what it actually takes to be a male sex worker in a country that criminalizes homosexuality through the outdated Article 377, and indeed any sexual practice that does not lead to procreation. The what's and where's, methods of hooking and their clients are revealed as well as the conflicts that hound them - such as areas of dissension with society, family and the law in India. Happy Hookers is as such, one of the first films to come out of India on this controversial subject matter.

"Octopusalarm" is what Alex calls the stressful situations in which she, as a 14-year-old, attempted to ward off the inquisitive hands of the boys who wanted to get between her legs. These first sexual experiences were associated with immense fear, since the boys might uncover her difference. Alex is an intersexual, a hermaphrodite, a person who throws into confusion the precise division of the world into male and female. One in every two thousand babies is born with no clear gender. In Alex's case, at the age of two, this caprice of nature was surgically corrected on medical advice. This is the story of the "Din Don Down" acting company, composed of four disabled people. Their latest play is Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot". This documentary aims to show the reality of these boys through the rehearsals of the play, assisted by the volunteers who aid them. Two visual narrative keys are used in order to develop the story: the interviews with the boys, their parents and the volunteers, so as the footage of their daily activities which include the rehearsals during a week of community life. The documentary directors want to show their artistic abilities but, above all, their humanity, their ability to communicate and their authenticity. Din Don Down was edited maintaining the original interviews, without external comments, in order to propose a true and emotionally intense story.

Rolf and Skahead are a pair of unlikely buddies living their own queer underground in NYC's trendy Chelsea district. Skahead, a black traditional rudeboy skinhead (all about ska, reggae and oi music,) and Rolf, a white queer neo-nazi skinhead and homeless street hustler, have remained friends despite Rolf's unique ideology, which makes exceptions for himself and Skahead. The promise of a night on the town with a couple of German tourists leads Rolf and Skahead on an absurd chase to score drugs - in the hopes of scoring Deutscher cock - which reveals how the bonds of friendship can surpass the limits of dogma.
